Expert Horse Care and Training Services
Boarding
The Stables at Galingayle will offer full board services, which include feeding and supplements, cleaning stalls, 2-hour turnouts in our paddocks, as well as scheduled farrier and vet calls. Other services will be available at an extra charge, including but not limited to worming, administering medicine, and clipping.
Lessons
Group lessons will be available for beginners and casual riders. Lessons typically last 45 minutes, with 5 riders per group, at a charge of $25 per person. Packages will be also be available at a rate of $20 per lesson. Lessons are usually held once a week.
Individual lessons will also be available from $45 to $55 per hour. Individual lessons can be given for riders with their own horses, or one may be leased from Galingayle’s school horses. Early morning lessons may also be offered for adults to work around busy schedules or to allow for more privacy.
Camps
Riding camps will offer riding five days a week, at a charge of $350 to $500 a week depending on the program. During camps, children and young adults will learn basic riding skills, horsemanship and care with the Galingayle staff. Friday night programs in the covered arena will offer students a chance to show off their new skills for parents and friends.
Camps will begin as soon as the school year ends, ending when school begins again. Camps may also be offered over holidays, breaks and other times when school is typically not in session.
Leasing
Full and half leasing of Galingayle’s school horses will be available.
Training
In addition to boarding, experienced trainers will be available to exercise, ride and train horses for our owners. Services may include riding and exercise during the week, manners schooling or appropriate behavior training with a professional horse trainer in our facilities.
Trail Riding
One- to three-hour trail rides can also be scheduled, taking advantage of Galingayle’s bridle trails or trails maintained in nearby National Forests and parkland. Trail rides will typically cost $55 to $75 an hour. Trail rides may include options for singles, couples, weddings, or birthdays.
Therapeutic Riding
Horses have proven to be very effective as a form of therapy and exercise for adults and children. Therapy rides will be available at a rate of $55 to $75 an hour. Preparations can be made for wheelchair access and rehabilitation options.
Clinics and Events
Riding clinics and special events will be organized throughout the year with well-known and experienced trainers. Clinic topics may include horsemanship, “bomb-proofing,” specialty riding and tips for trailering your horse. As well as being educational and informative, these are great social events where you can meet other residents and area riding enthusiasts. Our covered arena provides an excellent opportunity for experts and guests to join the Galingayle family for these special events.
